About Us
Attainment Care was founded with a clear purpose: to deliver supported living that truly centres the person — not the system.
Our leadership team brings together decades of combined experience in social care, housing, and community support.
We’ve worked on the front lines. We’ve seen what happens when care becomes impersonal. And we knew we could do better.
That’s why we created Attainment Care: a service built on compassion, transparency, and doing the right thing — even when it’s hard.
We are a family-run organisation that prides itself on building meaningful partnerships with local authorities, housing providers, and — most importantly — the people we support and their families.
We don’t just aim to meet standards. We want to set them.
Our Vision
A world where people with support needs live full, valued, and connected lives — with care that empowers, not restricts.
At Attainment Care, our vision is simple but powerful:
To create a service where people are supported to live on their own terms — not managed by systems or restricted by labels.
We imagine a future where:
· People with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or complex histories are recognised for their strengths — not just their support requirements.
· Homes are truly homes — not placements.
· Support staff are enablers of independence, choice, and progress — not gatekeepers of safety and risk.
· Local communities are places of welcome and connection, not isolation or exclusion.
We believe in:
· Empowerment over control
· Relationships over processes
· Partnership over paternalism
Our goal is to walk alongside the people we support — giving them the tools, trust, and tailored care they need to lead rich, purposeful lives.
We are building a service grounded in co-production, dignity, and equality, where every person has the opportunity to thrive — not just survive.
Our team applies national best practice drawn from SCIE, CQC guidance, and NICE quality standards. We believe that co-production, autonomy, and inclusion are not just ideals—they’re operational principles.
Our Values in Action
At Attainment Care, our values are not just words — they are the foundation of everything we do. They shape how we show up as a service, how we treat the people we support, and how we hold ourselves accountable as professionals.
These principles guide:
-
Every decision we make — from frontline support planning to strategic leadership
-
Every person we recruit — ensuring alignment with our culture, ethics, and standards
-
Every service we build — from housing partnerships to individual placements
We believe that the right values don’t just create good outcomes — they create trust.
That’s why we embed our values into:
-
How we work with individuals: ensuring dignity, voice, and choice at every step
-
How we involve families and advocates: co-producing support with openness and empathy
-
How we collaborate with commissioners: delivering responsive, safe, and sustainable services
-
How we support our staff: building a team culture rooted in respect, wellbeing, and purpose
Our values aren’t optional. They are the lens through which we design care, shape culture, and deliver change.
Our Model Reflects:
- SCIE’s vision of adult social care excellence
- NICE Guideline NG93 on Learning Disability and Behaviour
- “Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture” (CQC)
Our Values
🟦 Respect
We treat every individual with dignity, compassion, and patience — no exceptions.
Respect means:
- Listening deeply to what people want from their lives
- Honouring personal history, culture, identity, and communication style
- Upholding rights, freedoms, and the voices of those often unheard
Everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and valued — not just supported.
🟨 Accountability
We take responsibility — for our actions, our outcomes, and our standards.
We hold ourselves to the highest levels of transparency and governance.
Accountability means:
- Clear safeguarding processes and open communication
- Learning from mistakes, not hiding them
- Being honest with people, families, and professionals — always
Trust is earned, and we protect it fiercely.
🟥 Compassion
Care starts with humanity.
We are driven by kindness, empathy, and the belief that people thrive in environments where they feel emotionally safe.
Compassion means:
- Taking time to understand each person’s story and needs
- Responding with warmth — not judgment
- Being present, patient, and attuned in every interaction
True care is built on meaningful relationships.
🟩 Partnership
We don’t do this alone — and we don’t pretend to.
Our approach is rooted in collaboration with:
- The individuals we support
- Their families, advocates, and allies
- Commissioners, clinicians, housing partners, and social workers
We believe in co-production. Support must be shaped with people, not for them.
🟪 Empowerment
We support people to live their best lives — with real choice and real control.
Empowerment means:
- Building confidence and independence
- Supporting ambition, goals, and growth
- Encouraging self-advocacy and resilience
We don’t just want people to be safe — we want them to thrive.
